Sugar Tongue Slim(STS) is continuing his upward climb and becoming more of a known name. The Roots affiliate whom Creative Beach first saw at the very end of 2009 rip a verbal hole in the stage in D.C. was contacted by Nike for their web series “The Ones”. STS talks about his beginnings as a poet, the city of Philadelphia and his love of sneakers or as he puts it “If it doesn’t have a check, it ain’t right”.
Sneaker Heads Unite! …A fresh pair of dunks please
The Roots are officially back. They have just announced their latest studio album entitled “Undun”. This is a powerful single to introduce to the masses because it’s very reflective and glides along until you’re thinking “that’s it, it’s over” then you go back and play it again. So press play and then press play again and so on.
The movie Yelling To The Sky made noise of a release in late 2010 but since the beginning of 2011 the movie has been making the rounds on the festival circuit; first premiering at the Berlin Film Festival.
